Oh wow, I have reached my
thirties!! Ahh! This is so crazy to me. Not too much longer now and I will meet
my little prince. Here I am with my belly on Wednesday at 30 weeks (and my new
short hair!) Whenever I would think about being in my 30+ weeks, I would think
about it being like the very end. I can't believe how fast time has gone
by during this pregnancy so far. Although some days I feel like I have been
pregnant for eternity and cannot wait for it to be over so I can hug my
baby and not my belly. Baby Powell is over 3 pounds now, and is as big
as a butternut squash!
Holy cow!!
Also I read that he’ll be packing on the weight at a rate of half a pound per week for the next seven weeks
The kicks and jabs I'm feeling from my little guy are
constant and BIG these days! I keep catching myself just staring at my belly. I
feel him moving all over the place and my belly changes like crazy, It's
amazing to feel and see.
According to the babycenter website It claims I may be experiencing some
of the following:
You may be feeling a little tired
these days, especially if you’re having trouble sleeping. You might also feel
clumsier than normal, which is perfectly understandable. Not only are you
heavier, but the concentration of weight in your pregnant belly causes a shift
in your center of gravity.
Remember those mood swings you had earlier in pregnancy? The
combination of uncomfortable symptoms and hormonal changes can result in a
return of those emotional ups and downs. It’s normal to worry about what your
labor will be like or whether you’ll be a good parent.
Check, Check, and Check!! I get so exhausted towards the
middle/end of the day, and I definitely have some crazy mood swings,
that usually explode out of me after a long day once I get home. Ugh. I
have also recently realized that my balance and spatial awareness is way
off. It’s nice to know that my mood swings and crazy emotions are normal
for this stage of pregnancy, and I’m not just totally losing it. Some
days I wake up on cloud nine, feeling excited and ready and overjoyed about
being pregnant. Other days I am grumpy, sad, or just totally
overwhelmed. Glad to know that is to be expected!
Other side effects:
*Itchy stomach
*Back pain! Ugh
* Over emotional
* My tailbone hurts like crazy when I sit a certain way some times
* Bending over- very difficult!!
*
belly hair- eww
* Uncomfortable
sleeping!!
* Insane bladder-
I always have to go!
I also get emotional just
thinking about my little boy, I started crying during birthing class while listening to the affirmations. It was an affirmation to help us think deeply about our baby and to help us connect with our baby. I starting imagining my baby and giving him kisses, then suddenly lost it, and cried! It was a
happy emotion though. It's just such an overwhelming feeling when I think of my son, and
how much I already love him so much.
Another side
effect that is common around this time is apparently hemorrhoids! GAH!!
Luckily I have not experienced this horrible pregnancy side effect
and am hoping I won’t have to at all!
This week my baby's brain has had some major development.
Well off of baby news for a moment.. we are officially moving into our new house this weekend!! We are so excited! We were suppose to move last weekend but everything wasn't ready like we had anticipated. I am so excited to be in our new home. A place we can call our own and start our family.
BIG NEWS NEXT WEEK! WE WILL BE ANNOUNCING THE BABY NAME!!
