Week 17!!!!!!!!!! 

I'm getting noticeably bigger now, and none of my pants fit me anymore, I use safety pins, or a belly band so that I can still wear my pants. I have one pair of pregnancy jeans I bought awhile ago but I haven't really wore them, but now I actually need to wear them! I need to get a pair of pregnancy dress pants for student teaching though!

 Baby update:  

baby's size: 5.1-5.9 oz 

Baby Powell's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints.

I'm starting to finally feel the first baby movements and omg it is incredible!! I think I truly started feeling movements about a week ago but I wasn't exactly sure if it was the baby or just my belly (gas? lol) The past week or so I would feel flutters (the only way I can describe it) in my belly not  kicks , so I wasn't sure if the sensation was due to the baby at all. But this week in class the baby definitely moved or kicked or something, it was very distinct and incredible! All the sudden I couldn't pay attention to class, I just sat there thinking, " wow my baby moved and I felt it!" AHH, And it kept moving, for a little bit before stopping. I wanted to cry, my emotions were really starting to come over me so I had to get up and go to the restroom and compose myself. Ever since then I occasionally feel little movements. I can't even describe the feeling except that it is just amazing, even if it's not a strong feeling yet, the fact that I feel him or her at all not is just incredible. It makes me feel reassured that my baby is alive and well, and active!

I am still very excited and anxious to find out the sex of the baby, and although in the begining I was thinking we were having a girl, now I am thinking it's a boy. I had a very vivid dream and when I woke up I just "knew" that it was a boy. My intuition is telling me it's a boy, but who knows I might change my mind again since I already have once. 

Ahh the baby is moving as I type this! so incredible.. I'm loving this new feeling! :) 

Coming next week: the baby will be almost 7oz and will start to move more!!
